In the absence of any last-minute challenges, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) will release the WASSCE 2025 results on November 15th, 2025. The result release date is not expected to go beyond Monday, 18th November, 2025, per reliable sources. With WAEC now organizing two private WASSCE exams in Ghana (in February and October-November), such candidates can prepare and take the examination again as private candidates. 4. Category 4: Students with Withheld Results Students with withheld results are another set of candidates who must endure the stress of waiting for WAEC to conclude investigations. For such students, the chances of WAEC inviting them for investigation hearings at WAEC’s national or regional offices are very high. Until WAEC is done with its investigation, their results will remain withheld. Often, such results will be released if WAEC’s investigation proves that the candidate is innocent. However, in many instances, the results may end up being cancelled among others. 5. Category 5: Failure in Core Subjects Students with full results released but with a failure in core subjects. While this may sound good, it is as bad as the groups above. If a student obtains any grade worse than C5 in his or her Core subject, the chances of securing admission into public universities and into the top programmes fades away. For such candidates, the options would be to resit the core papers or apply for admission to private universities or public technical universities. These options do not, however, offer automatic admission to such students in any way. 6. Category 6: Full Results Release with Good Passes The last but most happy of the student groupings are those students with full results release with good passes.
