Information about entrance exam for the BSc in Architecture program 👉🏿 For this year (2018 entry), the entrance exam will be given only for those who are interested in joining the BSc in Architecture program. 👉🏿 To attend the entrance exam, registration is mandatory. Please register via the Google form below or scan the QR code. The form will stay open only until Tuesday, September 08, 2026 at 5:00 PM. https://forms.gle/sYwHEUY6jqiwF56s9 👉🏿The entrance exam for Architecture will be given in person on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the School of Built Environment (Lideta campus). 👉🏿 The cut-off (pass mark) will be decided by the department of architecture. Important Notice To: All Pre-Engineering Students Please note that department placement (at CTBE) has not been processed due to the Entrance Examination requirement for the BSc in Architecture Program Placement. An Entrance Examination will be administered on Sep 23, 2026, at the School of Built Environment (Lideta Campus) for those students who are interested in taking the exam. Important Message - Requires Urgent Action Regarding Program Preference Submission Please be informed that due to technical difficulties, program preferences submitted between July 28 and August 4, 2026, will not be considered for the placement process. Therefore, all students, including government‑sponsored students and those who are self‑sponsored without assigned programs, are required to re‑submit their program preferences. The portal will remain open for re‑submission from August 4 to August 6, 2026. 👉👉Please note that you must re‑submit your program preference by following the steps below: 1. Log in to your portal account at: https://portal.aau.edu.et/ 2. Click on the Admissions tab and select Placement. 3. You will see a list of disciplines available under each college and institute. 4. Rank your preferred disciplines/programs by assigning numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) in the preference form. 5. Ensure that you enter the correct number for each program before clicking Submit. Deadline for Re‑submission: The portal will be open for re‑submission from August 4 to August 6, 2026. After this date, the portal will be closed, and no further submissions will be accepted. Self-Sponsored Students’ placement 1. Self-sponsored students who have already secured placement in a program do not need to submit preferences. 2. Those self-sponsored students without assigned programs must complete the online preference form.

Notice to Students on Program Placement - Privileges Dear Students, This Notice is to inform applicants who wish to claim program placement based on staff privilege, disability, or origin from less developed regions that they must submit the required evidence within the application deadline. Requests with incomplete documentation will not be considered. A. Spouse/Child of Full-Time Academic Staff (AAU) As per Article 29.4 of the AAU Senate Legislation, spouses and children of full-time academic staff members who have served the University for at least three years are entitled to placement in the undergraduate program of their choice, provided they meet program requirements. Applicants using this privilege must submit the following: 1. A letter from the HR Department of AAU confirming that the parent is a full-time academic staff member. 2. If the staff member is the mother, a birth certificate must be attached to verify the relationship. 3. A copy of the parent’s AAU Staff ID card. ⚠️ Applications missing any of the above documents will not be processed.   📌 Supporting Documents for Staff privilege (A) – Hardcopy documents must be submitted to the Pre-Engineering Office, NB 205B, 2nd floor.   B. Applicants with Disabilities Students claiming placement privileges based on disability must submit official supporting documents verifying their condition.   📌 Supporting documents for disability (B)  - All documents can be scanned and submitted via email (tls.ctbe@aau.edu.et) or delivered to Pre-Engineering Office, NB 205B, 2nd  floor   C.
