Humanization of Pediatric Care is a master’s thesis by Oliwia Olbinska, completed at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw. The project addresses the psychological stress and potential trauma experienced by children during hospitalization, with a focus on radiological procedures. Market analysis revealed a lack of appropriate tools for positioning and immobilizing young patients during X-ray imaging. In response, Olbinska developed a comprehensive set of pediatric positioning aids, including upper and lower limb supports, universal modular elements, ergonomic foam blocks, and a therapeutic toy available in two variants featuring analog animation and fluid motion to distract and calm the child during procedures. All materials used are highly radiolucent to ensure optimal image quality.

Hou de Sousa’s Creativity Blooms transforms Adobe’s San Jose headquarters into a vibrant, sculptural experience, with a grove of latticed metal trees that shimmer with color by day and glow like lanterns by night. Installed on a pedestrian bridge connecting Adobe’s newly added Founder’s Tower with the existing campus, the installation draws inspiration from San Jose’s agricultural roots, Adobe’s colorful identity, and the creative potential of its tools. Each aluminum tree features a unique form and color spectrum, encouraging exploration and reflection. Thoughtfully engineered to integrate with the bridge structure, the trees are joined by organically shaped benches that invite rest and interaction, unifying the campus through light, form, and public engagement.

Berlin-based jewellery brand Studio GOGO has created a line of customisable rings made from recycled silver, featuring a central plate shaped like a Lego tile—allowing wearers to stack and swap real Lego bricks to suit their mood or style. Initially inspired by a school project by founder Thanh-Truc Nguyen, the brand uses digital modelling and the lost-wax casting technique to handcraft each piece. The collection, which began with classic two-by-two tiles, has since expanded to include a variety of shapes and will soon grow to feature Lego-compatible bracelets and necklaces.

Crafted from durable beech wood with a rubber-capped striking end, it blends heritage with modern design sensibility. Tiny Farm Fort, designed by Tiny Farm Lab in Rishikesh, India, is a hand-built cob house that exemplifies sustainable, bioregional architecture through the revival of traditional building methods. We are proud to announce Myriam Maroto as the August winner of the ART LIMITLESS competition, hosted by BE OPEN Art. A self-taught graphic artist from Spain, Myriam has been painting for as long as she can remember. Living with autism, she turns to art as an outlet to manage daily stress, express emotions that are difficult to articulate in words, and find a deep sense of balance and freedom. Her work is distinguished by its unconventional, tactile materials, including ballpoint pen linework in oil-based ink, coffee art with warm, earthy tones, and soft pastel blending that evokes both sensitivity and vibrancy.
Maroto’s recognition comes as part of ART LIMITLESS, a special section of the BE OPEN Art online gallery dedicated to inclusive arts and sustainability in the creative industries. As the August winner, Myriam now joins the running for the €1,000 grand prize, which will be awarded in September 2025.

BE OPEN Art is delighted to name Audrey Lukban as the Artist of the Month for August 2025, selected through a public vote from a shortlist of talented emerging artists featured on our online gallery.
Born in Philippines and now based in London, Audrey Lukban is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, installation, and performance. Using oil on wood and sculptural props, she challenges traditional aesthetics of cultural identity while critically examining the legacies of colonialism, religion, and historical memory in the Philippines.
At the end of the year, one monthly winner will be named Artist of the Year 2025. The chosen artist will receive a €1,000 prize along with a dedicated promotional campaign to support and spotlight their ongoing artistic development.

BE OPEN Art has named Brazilian artist Elenise Xisto as the Regional Artist of the Month for August 2025 in the South America stage of its international art competition. This stage of the program, running from July through September, highlights emerging artistic talent from across South America, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and French Guiana.
With this recognition, Elenise Xisto now joins Andrea Terceros of Bolivia – July’s winner – as a finalist for the Regional Artist of the Month title for South America, to be announced at the end of September. The regional winner will be awarded a €3,000 prize and receive additional global exposure through the BE OPEN Art platform.
