The Black Steed
A pitch-dark steed at dusk arrived in silken silhouette,
A mane of quiet darkness flowed from slumber soundly slept.
Snaking fire arced its path towards the Heaven’s seat,
Tongues of flame from hooves arose in steady rhythm beat.
Subconscious theatre welcomes simulacrum finely made,
As consciousness then goes to dwell with brothers of the Shade.
A course to chart sunless gleam, the stars that shimmer pale,
The steed arrives to take the mind far beyond Nyx’s veil.

Finished a medium sized eating bowl. Made with apple wood from a friends garden. The pattern is done with a pyrography pen.
