Yesterday I went to a new therapist, which gave me information about myself that I kind of expected, but still is very hard for me to come to terms with. I will keep that information private for now, but it does mean that a lot has to change and happen for me to get to a place where I will be happy and healthy again.
I am currently also sick. While I have to also do a lot of paperwork. So today I will take it easy as well. I might be able to make an adopt, but no guarantees. 😅

| 19 | 💜 A personal update from me
Hey everyone. I’ve been a little quieter than usual lately, both online and with my art, and I wanted to share a little bit about what’s been going on. I’ve been going back and forth about whether or not to share this, but I am at a place now that I feel like I am ready to explain a bit of my current situation for some clarity.
I’m currently going through a really big change, if not the biggest, in my personal life. After 11 years together, my wife and I are going through a divorce. I don’t want to go into the details, as I’d like to keep that part of my life private, but it has understandably been a very difficult and emotional time for me. If not the hardest thing I have been through emotionally in a long while.
There are also a lot of practical things that come with such a huge life changes: finances, paperwork, figuring out living arrangements, and trying to work out what my life is going to look like from here. It’s been a lot to process, and honestly, I’ve been spending a lot of my time trying to figure things out and get myself back on stable ground.
Because of this, I’ve also had to make some difficult decisions. Like that I won’t be vending at Comic-Con this time, and I’m currently not even sure if I’ll be able to attend as a visitor. I’ve been really looking forward to it, so that’s been a difficult decision to make as well. But mentally I am just not ready.
Art is currently my only source of income still, and unfortunately, with everything changing in my life, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for that to be enough to support me. Because of this, I’m also looking for a full-time job alongside my current art.
Realistically, this October may be the last month where I’m able to focus on art the way I have been. I don’t know exactly what the future will look like yet, or how much time I’ll have for art once I have another job, but I wanted to be open about where I’m currently at. Which scares me a lot, since I have worked really hard to get where I am today with my business and art.
If you would still like to get some art from me and support me during this time, things like YCH pieces, adopts, or other artwork I create this month are a wonderful way to do so. 💜 Every purchase genuinely helps me so much right now, and I’m incredibly grateful for anyone who chooses to support my work.
But please don’t ever feel like you have to spend money on me. If you can’t, that is completely okay. A kind message, sharing my artwork, commenting, or simply continuing to be here already means so much to me. You don’t have to do anything at all. 💜
I think part of why I wanted to share this is because I’ve been very quiet while trying to process everything, and I didn’t want that silence to make it seem like I had disappeared or stopped caring about my art or this community. I’m still here. I’m still creating when I can. I’m just trying to figure out what my life looks like now.
Thank you for being patient with me while I navigate this chapter. And thank you to everyone who has supported my art, followed Eclipse, bought something from me, commissioned me, or simply cheered me on over the years.
It really does mean more to me than you know. 💜🌙
I’m taking things one step at a time, and I’m hoping that even though things are changing, I can still find a way to keep creating and sharing my little pieces of the world with you.
