_Abbiamo appena visto Gesù che spinge i discepoli verso l'altra riva, e che pensavamo che lì era tutto più facile? Ma neanche per sogno! Gli indemoniati li attendono per tormentarli e per impedirgli di passare._
*Ci sono dei posti che sembrano fatti apposta per ospitare satana e i suoi accoliti, posti in cui di male ce n’è talmente tanto che sembra normale, ed in questi posti Gesù arriva e sconvolge anche gli animi dannati. Il diavolo conosce Gesù e lo teme, sa che là dove Gesù regna non c’ è posto per lui e allora subdolamente si mette a scongiurare Gesù di lasciarlo vivere nelle bestie immonde, che rappresentano coloro che sono suoi schiavi, e con loro precipitano poi nell’ abisso.
_In questo brano si ha un'idea di come il diavolo agisce, prima si nasconde e, una volta scoperto da Gesù deve arrendersi, ma il suo trucco più ben riuscito è nascondere all’uomo l’esistenza di se e di Dio, di fargli credere che lui dirige la sua vita, che non deve rendere conto a nessuno, che tutte queste cose le hanno inventate per rovinargli la vita._
*Lasciate che i morti seppelliscano i morti diceva poco tempo prima Gesù al giovane che lo interrogava per sapere cosa fare per seguirlo. Egli infatti non riusciva a staccarsi dal passato; ed ora in questa nuova riva, tra i morti troviamo i demoni. | 11 | Capita anche a te un momento di sfiducia e di scoraggiamento, e ti chiedi: "A che serve pregare e di continuare a guardare il cielo che sembra sordo e al mio lamento?"
La vera sconfitta è arrendersi. Il vero fallimento è mollare tutto nella convinzione che pregare non serve a niente.
La migliore preghiera è quella perseverante. A volte pensiamo che la qualità della nostra preghiera dipenda da nostro stato d'animo o dalle sensazioni sensibili che la preghiera ci lascia. Ma non è così. Nella vita e nel cammino della preghiera quello che conta di più è la costanza, la perseveranza. Perciò non mollare. Continua a pregare.
La preghiera deve essere una attività costante e deve essere difesa dalla sfiducia e dall'incostanza. Se preghi solo quando hai bisogno di qualcosa, allora ti stancherai presto e smetterai di pregare appena ti ritroverai appagato in quello che hai chiesto.
Pregare è tendere con tutto il cuore a Dio attraverso un continuo desiderio del Suo volto. Ma appena la preghiera si infiamma, ecco che il demonio si sveglia, ti ostacola e ti tenta in ogni maniera.
Se pregare significa sentirsi amati da Dio, allora basta che il diavolo ti metta nella testa la convinzione contraria ed ecco che ti scoraggi e non preghi più. Se Gesù chiede la perseveranza, ecco che il demonio le prova tutte - con pensieri, distrazioni, aridità - per allontanarti dalla preghiera.
Bisogna pregare con fiducia e certezza che il Signore ti esaudisce sempre, ma non perché fa quello che Gli dici tu; il Signore esaudisce la tua preghiera al di là di quello che potresti immaginare e sperare. Ti senti talmente amato da Dio che Egli non potrebbe non prendere sul serio ogni tuo desiderio.

The best prayer is the persevering one. Sometimes we think that the quality of our prayer depends on our state of mind or the sensitive sensations that prayer leaves us. But that's not the case. Prayer must be a constant activity and must be defended from mistrust and inconstancy. If you only pray when you need something, then you will soon tire and stop praying as soon as you find yourself satisfied with what you asked for.
To pray is to tend wholeheartedly to God through a continuous longing of His face. But as soon as the prayer is inflamed, the devil awakens, hinders you and tempts you in every way.
If praying means feeling loved by God, then all it takes is for the devil to put the contrary belief in your head and you get discouraged and don't pray anymore. If Jesus asks for perseverance, behold, the devil tries them all - with thoughts, distractions, dryness - to turn you away from prayer.
You must pray with confidence and certainty that the Lord always answers you, but not because He does what you tell Him; the Lord answers your prayer beyond what you might imagine and hope. You feel so loved by God that He couldn't help but take your every wish seriously.

Progress in the field of scientific knowledge has shown us that the Universe is boundless and that there are a myriad of planets where the conditions for the birth of life could exist. The fact that there are ideal conditions for life to form suggests that somewhere in deep space there may be other sentient races like ours. Although there is no firm evidence for the existence of other living things, the chances that they formed are far greater than those to the contrary.
If, therefore, it cannot be ruled out that “aliens” exist, the situation is different for the presence of extraterrestrials on our planet. Since the years ’50 or so, millions of rumors have spread regarding sightings of flying saucers, or actual testimonies from people who claim to have been “probed”. Is it possible, then, that these space visitors have a role in our existence? To answer this question we rely on the words of Don Giuseppe Tomaselli, who received the testimony of a demon in this regard.
Demon reveals the true nature of aliens during an exorcism
The testimony of the Salesian priest and exorcist was reported on the blog ‘Christian Revelations’. The interviewer asks Don Tomaselli if he knew anything about the extraterrestrials that have been talked about for decades and this one replied: “And’ another wonderful trick of Satan, and I answer you in his own words, because I asked him during an exorcism”.

The rest of the testimony is the exchange between the Exorcist and the demon who had taken possession of the faithful, named Astort. We will only report the salient parts of this exchange:
DT: Are the flying saucers your doing?
A: No, they are fragments of dissolving planets, which dissolve upon contact with the atmosphere.
DT: There are those who believe these are cosmic spaceships, populated by extraterrestrial people
A: No, damn priest! it is not so. We make it seem that way.
DT: So! You demons take advantage of the phenomenon of Uranolites to encourage people to get in touch with you and also show you with human forms, strange and evanescent.
A: Well. What do you want to know?
DT: Answer! Are you the ones who appear in human form and then say you are extraterrestrial men?
A: Damn priest! It's us.

| 17 | La visione di Santa Lidwina del Purgatorio al confine con l'inferno
Dopo la morte di un convertito all'ultimo minuto, la mistica olandese Santa Lidwina (1380-1433) chiese al suo angelo custode quale fosse il destino dell'uomo. L'angelo poi la condusse in spirito ad assistere al Purgatorio: una visione così intensa da lasciarla fisicamente scossa.
Ecco cosa vide, secondo il racconto conservato da p. F.X. Schouppe, SJ:
Entrando, santa Lidwina chiese con orrore: "È questo, allora, l'inferno, fratello mio?"
L’angelo rispose: “No, sorella, ma questa parte del purgatorio confina con l’inferno”.
Vide "un'immensa prigione circondata da mura di prodigiosa altezza, la cui oscurità, insieme alle mostruose pietre, le ispirarono orrore".
Avvicinandosi, udì «un rumore confuso di voci lamentose, grida di furore, catene, strumenti di tortura, [e] colpi violenti che i carnefici scaricavano sulle loro vittime», le anime del purgatorio.
Il suono era così travolgente che “tutto il tumulto del mondo, in tempesta o in battaglia, non poteva reggere il confronto con esso”.
Si imbatté in un pozzo profondo, coperto da un coperchio, dove soffriva l'anima che cercava.
Quando il coperchio del pozzo fu sollevato, “si sprigionò una nuvola di fiamme, insieme alle grida più lamentose”. L’anima appariva come “uno spirito tutto in fiamme, simile a un metallo incandescente”.
Lo spettacolo fu così scioccante che il cingolo (cintura) di Santa Lidwina si strappò in due per l'intensità. Incapace di resistere oltre, si svegliò all'improvviso dalla sua estasi.
Più tardi, la sua carità la spinse ad offrire le proprie sofferenze e preghiere per quest'anima.
Giorni dopo, l’angelo tornò con gioia per dirle che l’anima si era trasferita da quel luogo severo al Purgatorio ordinario – e attraverso la sua continua intercessione, alla fine entrò nella gioia del Paradiso.

Questa potente rivelazione privata illustra in modo drammatico l’insegnamento della Chiesa sul Purgatorio e il grande valore della preghiera per le Anime Sante. Dice anche che morire nell'amicizia di Dio non ci scusa necessariamente dalle penitenze che dobbiamo compiere in conseguenza del peccato.

Saint Lidwina's vision of Purgatory on the border with hell
After the death of a convert at the last minute, the Dutch mystic Saint Lidwina (1380-1433) asked her guardian angel what man's fate was. The angel then led her in spirit to witness Purgatory: a vision so intense that it left her physically shaken.
Here is what he saw, according to the account preserved by Fr. FX Schouppe, SJ:
Entering, Saint Lidwina asked in horror, "Is this, then, hell, my brother?"
The angel replied: “No, sister, but this part of purgatory borders on hell.”
She saw "an immense prison surrounded by walls of prodigious height, whose darkness, together with the monstrous stones, inspired her horror."
As he approached, he heard «a confused noise of plaintive voices, cries of fury, chains, instruments of torture, [and] violent blows that the executioners discharged on their victims», the souls in purgatory.
The sound was so overwhelming that “all the turmoil in the world, stormy or in battle, could not compete with it”.
He came across a deep well, covered by a lid, where the soul he sought suffered.
When the well lid was lifted, “a cloud of flames broke out, along with the most plaintive cries”. The soul appeared as “a spirit all on fire, like a glowing metal”.
The spectacle was so shocking that St. Lidwina's cingolo (belt) tore in two from the intensity. Unable to resist any longer, he suddenly awoke from his ecstasy.
Later, her charity prompted her to offer her sufferings and prayers for this soul.
Days later, the angel joyfully returned to tell her that the soul had moved from that severe place to ordinary Purgatory – and through his continued intercession, he eventually entered the joy of Heaven. | 523 |
