Repost from | At-Tibyān 📚|
In Muzdalifah at night, there are no palaces, no grand buildings, no expensive beds, and no sheets. It's a night where the rich and the poor are all equal. Everyone sleeps on the ground, and our covering is the mercy of Allah for His servants. It's a sleep unparalleled in the world.

The takbirat of Eid The days of Hajj are special days of the year, and the Sacred Law has legislated a special form of rememberance (dhikr) during some of these days, called takbirat. Allah is the greatest; Allah is the greatest; there is no god but Allah; Allah is the greatest; Allah is the greatest; and to Allah belongs all praise. Based on the practice of the Companions and the early Muslims (salaf), Imam Shafii (Allah be pleased with him) held that it is praiseworthy to also add the following: Allah is truly the greatest; much praise be to Allah; Allah be glorified in the morning and the evening; there is no god but Allah; we worship none but Him, making our religion sincerely His even if the disbelievers may detest it; there is no god but Allah alone; He has fulfilled His promise, aided His slave, honoured His army, and He alone has destroyed the groups [h: of disbelievers who collaborated to extinguish Islam in the time of the Prophet]; there is no god but Allah; Allah is the greatest. It is the inherited practice of Muslims across the Muslim world to send blessings on the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), his folk, his companions, his wives, and his offspring after reciting all of the above. Doing this is always praiseworthy, and there is nothing wrong with doing it here. The Shafiis have, however, differed whether this blessing is specifically legislated along with the takbirat. Timing of the takbirat There are two kinds of takbirat: (1) takbirat that are legislated regardless of circumstance (mutlaq) (2) takbirat that are specifically legislated to be recited after prayers (muqayyad). The timing for the first kind of takbirat is from sunset on the eve of Eid (10th Dhul Hijjah) until the start of the Eid prayer. In other words, it is recommended to repeat the takbirat during this time as frequently as possible at all times. The timing for the second kind of takbirat is from fajr of the Day of Arafah (9th Dhul Hijjah) until asr on the 3rd day after Eid (13th Dhul Hijjah). In other words, it is recommended to repeat the takbirat during these days after every prayer that one performs, whether obligatory or non-obligatory. Other Points – It is recommended form men to say the takbirat out loud. Women should say them silently in the presence of men who aren’t close relatives, and loudly (although not as loud as men) when alone or only in the presence of close relatives. – It is best to recite the takbirat that are legislated after prayers before the forms of rememberance (adhkar) that are normally recited after the prayer. – The timings mentioned above are for non-pilgrims. Pilgrims on Hajj follow slightly different timings that are not mentioned in this answer.

On the Day of 'Arafah Imam Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his book alAdkhaar: {.... The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: (the best dua' is on the day of Arafah, and the best of what I and the prophets before me said is: So it is recommended to increase in dua' & dhikr & to strive in this. For this is the most virtuous day of the year for dua, which is most of the Hajj, and for it is it’s aim and reliant on it so it's necessary that a person should spare his energy in dhikr and Dua, in reading the Qur'an, making dua & dhikr in every place, by himself or in a group, making dua' for himself, his parents, relatives, shuyukh,  companions, friends, his lved ones, and all others who are good to him, and for all muslims, and to be very careful not to fall short in all this, for indeed this day cannot be rectified; in contrast to other days. And it is not burdensome (to have) rhythm in supplication, for it occupies the hearts and removes brokenness and humiliation. And with Khushuu’, there is no problem in supplication using memorised supplications for himself or others, if one is occupied with the burden of its neatness and complying with it syntactically. The sunnah: to lower his voice when making dua', to increase in seeking forgiveness, making tawbah from all offenses, with faith in the heart. He is persistent in dua, repeating it over again, and he is not slow to answer the call. He opens his supplication and closes it with Al-Hamd to Allah Almighty (saying الحمد لله، for eg), praise to Him, Exalted is He, and sending Salaat and salaaam to the messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and closing it with that. And he should be eager to face the Kaaba, and be in a state of purity. [End quote] original in arabic: https://t.me/Nrjsl/555

Masaail and Ahkaam regarding fasting the day of 'Aashura 1. Fasting the day of 'Aashura is an expiation of the previous year's sins (minor sins, according to the majority) 2. The wisdom in the recommendation of fasting it is a way of showing gratefulness to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for saving Musa alayhis salaam & his people from Fir'aun. 3. The levels of fasting 'aashura are three: 1: The best: fasting it as well the days before it AND after it 2: Fasting it as well as the day before it OR after it 3: The lowest: Only fasting the day of 'aashura 4. The wisdom in the recommendation of fasting a day along with 'aashura is to differentiate from the jews 5. There is nothing authentic regarding doing specific deeds on this day except for fasting. As for the hadith on spending on one's family, it is weak, however the majority of the fuqaha have taken it & recommended spending on one's family.

6. The most virtous months for fasting after ramadan: 1. The sacred months; in order, Muharram, then Rajab, then Dhul Hijjah, then Dhul Qi'dah 2. Then Sha'ban 7. If someone fasts 'aashura with the joint intention of qadhaa (missed obligatory fast) and 'aashura, he gets the reward for both of them (& the qadhaa' fast is valid) 8. Because it is a voluntary fast, if a person was to make the intention to fast it in the daytime (after fajr), it is still valid but with two conditions: 1. That he makes the intention before zawaal (ie time when zuhr enters). After that time, his intention is not valid. 2. He had not done anything since fajr that would nullify his fast (such as eating or having intercourse) 9. Whoever misses this fast, it is recommended for him to make it up (qadhaa). 10. The default is that a woman does not fast voluntary fasts if her husband is present except with his permission. However, in fasts that only come about every year (such as arafah, aashura, etc), it's sufficient for her that he does not prevent her & his permission is not condition. Wallahu 'Alam
