BC Neanderthal Mindset

Civilization comes at a cost. The price is steep, all things good and mighty surrendered, virility, wildness, risk. It costs our Strength, our Courage, our Wisdom, our mastery of self and most of all our honor and nobility. [email protected]

A new tradition in our household is leaving a hot bowl of soup for the Krampus along with milk and cookies for Father Christmas. My sons get excited, knowing that on christmas morning the cookies will be eaten, the glass of milk empty, and the bowl of soup eaten. Krampus is not a devil or “satanic monstrosity” as christian tradition will allude. He is a friend of Kris Kringle and part of a colorful bunch called the ‘Companions of Sinterklass’. Welcome Krampus and Santa into your home with offerings of savory stew, and sweets, because tonight they are brief guests in your house! Merry Christmas and Happy Yule my friends!

Just as the moon was fading Amid her misty rings, And every stocking was stuffed With childhood’s precious things, Old Kriss Kringle looked around, And saw on the elm-tree bough, High hung, an oriole’s nest, Lonely and empty now. “Quite a stocking,” he laughed, “Hung up there on a tree! I didn’t suppose the birds Expected a present from me!” Then old Kriss Kringle, who loves A joke as well as the best, Dropped a handful of snowflakes Into the oriole’s empty nest. -Kriss Kringle By Thomas Bailey Aldrich

All hail the Winter Queen. The Cailleach is telling us it’s time once again To keep the hearth fires lit with the chairs close by To keep the tea warm as she howls outside During this the time of long nights and short days As she wails outside bringing cold misery to all We sit by the fire and tell our tales Of the heroes of old and of seasons past To keep the memories alive for future gens As the wheel of the year turns round once again

A vastly forgotten aspect of Kris Kringle is that Krampus isn't the only one that is apt to take naughty children.

"Pagan Aesthetics" The Pagans of today have unfortunately become defined less by disposition or deed and more by décor. Most of you are probably aware of what I'm talking about. - We get tattoos we didn't earn. Claim titles we don't deserve. Venerate Gods we have no business looking towards. Buy and wear meaningless baubles because they have pagan symbols. All culminating in what comes off like grown ups going through a rebellious phase heavily influenced by D&D. - There is nothing wrong with wishing to be a Witch, but a Witch is not defined by her hat and broom but by her wisdom and her craft. The Craft of caring for their community, of tending to the sick and the ailing, of solving disputes and making the hard often painful decisions. There is nothing wrong with getting a Pagan Tattoo, but an unearned one is tantamount to stolen valor. The kind that in the right circles should that tattoo truly mean something would have a fraud flayed. There is nothing wrong with venerating the Gods, or appreciating Gods of other Tribes. But Pagan means ethnic, to venerate the Pagan Gods is to venerate the Gods of your people. You do not venerate the Gods of your ancestors as an Irishman by placing Greek Gods in a place of honor. Why would they bother with you? There is nothing wrong with clothes or possessions, but wearing unlimited bangles and swag with random pagan imagery does nothing but issue a cry for help. - You cannot Purchase Paganism. No amount of hollow ritual, expensive idols. rehearsed words or pagan symbols can make up for the disingenuous nature of one's intent. We are not like the other belief systems, we are older, we are wiser, we are the adults in the room. But we have to act like it. Not just "look" like it. @Hyperborean Radio (Uncensored)
