Imagine: you've done the work - user research, iterative prototyping, polished design decisions. Now, you step into the boardroom. You present your insights with confidence. But the room is quiet.
If stakeholders don't grasp the value, your insights risk being ignored. The key is translation: reframing design work in the language of business impact.

🐪 Left is right, right is left: how design works in the RTL world
Designing for the Middle Eastern market? Localization is way more than just translating text and right-aligning it. Lazy copy-pasting will break your UI.
Here is your quick guide to RTL design anatomy.
🪞 What to mirror:
• Navigation: sidebars, logos, and menus migrate to the right.
• Controls: the "Back" button points right; sliders fill from right to left.
• Pagination: the "Next" button moves to the left.
• Figma Tip: use the RTL Layout plugin to flip layouts instantly.
🚫 What NOT to mirror:
• Numbers: digits always read left-to-right. Never mix Western (0–9) and Eastern (٠-٩) Arabic numerals.
• Media controls: Play, Fast Forward, and video progress bars stay untouched. Time flows left-to-right worldwide.
• Clocks & Icons: clockwise arrows, cameras, headphones, and brand logos keep their original orientation.
