A few months after the funeral my brother and I were talking about what happened the day he had his stroke. My brother was at my parents house when it happened and he had left out a very disturbing detail that he was now telling me. My brother, his son, and my father were going to go grocery shopping that morning. My father said he was going to take a shower before they went. My brother and his son went out to the garage because they were renovating our fishing boat that was in need of TLC after so many years of use. About a half hour passed and they went inside figuring my father should be ready to go by that time but he was still in the shower. My brother knocked on the door and asked if my father was ok?! He didn't get an answer so he knocked again and he heard a very faint "no". The door was locked so my brother kicked it open and my mother went in and closed the door, she's an RN so anything…
