Extreme weather continues to impact many regions in China. Heavy rainfall in Chongqing has recently caused floods and secondary disasters, resulting in at least six fatalities. Flooding has led to river backflows, home inundation, and suspension of multiple train services. Notably, the "Daning River Flood No. 1 of 2024" has been formed. According to official media source CCTV, heavy rain affected seven towns in Dianjiang County, Chongqing from 10 p.m. on July 10 to 7 a.m. on July 11. Eighteen streets and towns, including Guiyang, experienced significant rainfall. A U.S. Coast Guard cutter conducting a routine patrol in the Bering Sea encountered several Chinese military ships in international waters. The crew spotted three vessels approximately 124 miles (200 kilometers) north of the Amchitka Pass in the Aleutian Islands, as reported by the Coast Guard on July 10th.
