The Lebanese Army and Civil Defense forces announced the discovery of the body of the Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil in the house targeted by Israeli warplanes on Wednesday evening in southern Lebanon.
Earlier that evening, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that its efforts to rescue the killed journalist, Amal Khalil, who was trapped under the rubble in the town of Al-Tayri in southern Lebanon, were hampered by extremely dangerous field conditions and complications hindering search and rescue operations.
The Ministry stated that what was happening constituted a "blatant double violation," especially since the Israeli army obstructed rescue operations and targeted a Red Cross ambulance, clearly marked with its insignia, as it attempted to reach the site.
According to the Ministry's statement, journalists Amal Khalil and Zeinab Faraj had taken refuge in a neighboring house after an initial airstrike, before being targeted by a second strike.
