[Economy in remarkably good shape...] Hey Tribe, The stock market gapped up yesterday. Previously, the market (myself included) were concerned about the inverted yield curve. However do note that yield curve has a delay effect of up to 3 quarters. [Why did Buffett Sell Apple?] In 2017, I was in LA with Mary Buffett and we were looking at various investment opportunities together. "How about Apple?" I suggested. Buffett haven't bought APPLE then and it was deemed as a Tech stock which Buffett famously avoided. "But it isn't a technology stock. It is a consumer discretionary stock that has gotten people queueing over night for its latest launch," I argued. Mary agreed and we invested into Apple in 2017 when it was lesser than $40 (i remembered it was acutally $170 back then but it stock split 4 for 1 later) Well, i sold off my AAPL stocks when it hit a market cap of $1 trillion dollars in Aug 2018 making about 30% in 1 year. I should have held it longer.. It is 5 times more than my initial investment. But that was some time back. I don't the hype as much now and buffett is selling. Msft ~ yummilocious Earnings Season = Hunting Season Hey Tribe, We spoke about AMD... now we got MSFT with PB = 11.18, which is below 5 years average. One key issue is the price is now below 200MA, which typically indicates a change in trend. The IV percentile is around 58 now, I will enter stocks instead of using options unless the IV drops below 35, I will use Zebra X2 to enter. With current high IV, we can deploy Vega Negative strategies. @SIC, Tonight I will be covering IV farming and also 60/45 DTE strategies.
