As I’m getting lots of queries regarding the screening criteria of the FACT Plus exam, I thought I’d share what I think based on the official notice—but please keep in mind, this is just my interpretation and not a definitive statement.
According to the recruitment notice, the FACT Plus exam qualification is part of the screening criteria for eligible candidates. The exact wording is:
"The screening criteria of eligible candidates will be on the basis of FACT Plus exam qualification during last three years."
So, from this statement, it appears that having the FACT Plus qualification is necessary to pass the initial screening stage. In other words, it seems mandatory to meet this criterion in order to be considered.
However, again—this is just my opinion. It’s important to consider a few things:
It’s described as a screening criterion, meaning it's likely used to filter candidates at the beginning. Other aspects like interview performance, educational background, and work experience will still play a role in the final selection.
Context can influence application of criteria. If the number of applicants is high, they may strictly stick to every criterion during shortlisting. But if there are fewer applicants, there might be some room for flexibility.
So, while having the FACT Plus qualification definitely strengthens your position, I wouldn’t treat it as a black-and-white rule unless further clarification is provided by the recruitment body. Hope this helps clear things up a bit!
