| 2 | The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) is a flagship employment generation scheme of the Government of India designed to promote formal sector employment and expand social security coverage through the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The scheme provides financial incentives to both first-time employees and employers to encourage job creation and support the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Under Part A, first-time EPFO-registered employees earning up to ₹1 lakh per month receive an incentive equivalent to one month's EPF wage (maximum ₹15,000), payable in two instalments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) via the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS).
Under Part B, employers receive an incentive of up to ₹3,000 per month per additional employee (with a salary up to ₹1 lakh) for two years, provided the employment is retained for at least six months. For the manufacturing sector, the incentive is extended for the third and fourth years. Employer incentives are credited directly to PAN-linked bank accounts.
Recent Update: The Prime Minister recently disbursed approximately ₹2,400 crore in incentives under the PM-VBRY scheme. | 56 |
