First day snowboarding 🏂
Switching from skis to board I guess. Have to take care of my knee, and snowboarding has less of a knee abuse
Caught few edges of course, my butt is so sore, barely can move it. Same for my neck and shoulder. 😫

| 3 |  +3For some reason I keep stacking all the updates of my life into one post instead of posting consistently like most peeps do, I’ll try to change it I guess.
1. Got my first Google paycheck ;). Got $20k post tax for the first 2 weeks of working 🫢
2. I guess there is a legacy of me as a “Yacht party organizer” at NYUAD. Got reached out by freshman Qazaq with questions on how to organize one, cuz seniors who usually do are kinda slacking
3. I’ve got 3 teslas on my app 😎. Not all of them are mine though(not that I need that many lol). Got very good friends who don’t mind me driving theirs. Also Tesla is such a game changer. No need for keys or anything else. You can even give access to anyone you want anywhere, in case they’d like to drive ur car
4. Just about 1.5 months ago I’ve sold my stocks to realize the profit. Took $10k out for my living and left $40k. And guess what, ten at 40k turned into 52k in just 6 weeks. Most people look at stocks as risky investment. But I just blindly believe that it’s the way for passive wealth and early retirement ;)
P.S. out of those 20k only $900 is a salary for my first 2 weeks xd. Should’ve been 6k pre tax, but since I maximize my retirement 401k, I was only left with $900. Other 19k is sign on and relocation bonuses | 538 |

It has already been a week since I joined Google. Time really flies I guess. Got so busy with onboarding, didn’t have time to post here. Hopefully I will just start posting stories here (since I am no longer using Instagram).
Guess what, I am really at Google! Right till my first day, I kept thinking that my offer will be rescinded or some bullshit like that (happened to me 2-3 times already). But this time luck was on my side.
First week was me meeting my manager, talking to my mentor buddy, and just onboarding to the Google World. And DAMN, THEY HAVE LOTS OF STUFF. Like onboarding never looked so overwhelmed like here. I guess it was expected as Google is one of the first Tech giants, and got famous for having their own software/tools for literally EVEYTHING. Nothing that I used in my personal development, have I seen here.
Google is huge, and their software is used by billions people every day. So, even a fast and optimized C++ is not enough for the devs here. They have their own C++ that is super optimized for their own tasks and code. That’s the reason, onboarding takes so long here.
Well, I’m not planning to relax and consume 1 page of information per day(nooglers used to onboard for months before). In the age of AI, and me wanting to promote fast (my manager is in favor of that), I’m starting my first project next week.🫡
A lot of food here (that’s the only thing I remembered to take pics of lol). I’ve visited 10+ different offices already. It looks like everyone consumes coffee here (how can’t one if professional baristas serve it for free here, and every microkitchen has the espresso machine) I guess I’ll have to follow the crowd soon😭
Haven’t received swag and the noogler hat yet, so excited for that. I’ve got the Google plastic water bottle, not planning to use it though, should I give it away here lol
Also, rate my setup😎. I’m a bit ashamed of getting all of this on my first week lol. Looking around me, only like one out of 10 people care to have 2 monitors and a stand. I feel like I’m being a bit too extra. Well, at least it’s beneficial for my health!

Also in the light of recent news purchases the Trump coin(so I thought). In a matter of 12 hours, my $100 of investment became $2200. And few hours later it dropped back to $100(they rug pulled). So I just cashed out.
Apparently I bought the wrong coin. The lesson is always pull out before it’s too late. Better cash out than be too greedy | 758 |

| 11 |  +2As a final post of 2024 let's talk bout stocks. I have been investing since 2020. 🦠
Small amounts that I was getting from part time work and gifts I put into my brokerage account. Read few books on investments and watched few Youtube videos bout Warren Buffet. Reddit helped a lot too btw.
Thank god for my two internships, full scholarship from NYUAD with a stipend, and part-time jobs during college, I was able to invest larger amounts into my account.
Now, as I am about to start a new chapter of my life next year, with a hella change in earnings(from homeless to a let's take vacation every quarter), a wise move was to sell all my stocks to realize the profit I made(sorry IRS, no money for you)
The photos pretty much summarize everything, but just to reinstate.
Long-term gains (>1 year of holding): 262% of profit, bought for $2.3k sold for $8.5k
Short-term gains (<1 year of holding): 51% of profit, bought for $31k sold for $47k
Took around 10k off for me to survive till I start my job, and reinvested all the rest back into the market.
An advice that no one has asked for:
- If you wanna invest, but don't know how, just buy ETFs (S&P 500, Vanguard, etc)
- If you wanna invest, and know few things, just buy what you believe in and hold. I have been purely investing in companies that I know and believe will do well (Meta, Google, Apple, Nvidia)
- Take small risks if you can? I have been investing small amounts (few thousands dollars) into some small companies that I've read on reddit that may hit it off. Guess what, that's how I invested in Palantir when they were $8, now they are $80, and that's how I invested in RocketLab they were $5, now they are $25

In love how they showed alternate reality where those two were able to be together, and how in one reality he hates her and in another loves. Indeed, fine line between love and hate.
