It is the basic human nature that we need something to look forward to, a sense of accretion in our mentality. People that are hanging on by a thread, they’re still hanging on, aren’t they? They have something in the future, a reality they only thought was possible in their very imaginations. If we cut off that goal, that thing we crave so deeply, we lose all sense of sanity.
