Strong push to reintroduce elective papers (International Tax, IBC, AI, Forensic Audit). • SPOM Set A & Set B: Recommendations to bring Corporate Law and Costing (SCMPE) back as core written exam papers. • Digital Audit & Syllabus Overlap: Shift digital auditing away from rote theory to practical training in Advanced ITT; eliminate intermediate/final redundancies. • Revision Test Papers (RTPs): Strict objection to introducing new concepts right before exams via RTPs. • Articleship & Industrial Training: Retaining 2-year tenure with defined study leave; transparent norms so principals cannot unreasonably reject industrial training. • Skill Development: Proposal for 2–3 month residential finishing schools at ICAI Centres of Excellence (COEs). ⏳ Expected Timeline: Discussions indicate any formal draft proposal could take 6–8 months, with potential implementation only between late 2026 and 2028. ▶️ SOURCE / FACT-CHECK NOTICE: • Status: Unofficial Stakeholder Feedback / Proposals. • Official Source: None yet.
