Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chinese Translator to join our team in Oregun, Ikeja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating written and verbal communications between Chinese and English, facilitating effective communication between stakeholders, and supporting business operations requiring bilingual expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Translate documents, reports, emails, contracts, manuals, and other business materials between Chinese and English.
Provide interpretation services during meetings, presentations, negotiations, and business engagements.
Ensure translations accurately convey the meaning, tone, and intent of the original content.
Review and proofread translated materials for grammatical accuracy and consistency.
Assist Chinese-speaking and English-speaking team members in day-to-day communication.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information and documents.
Collaborate with various departments to support business and operational needs.
Provide cultural and linguistic guidance when necessary to facilitate effective communication.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Languages, Linguistics, Translation, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years' proven experience as a Chinese Translator or Interpreter.
Strong proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and translation tools is an added advantage.
Experience working in a corporate or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
