Gold August MCX is trading lower by around ₹1,600 or 1.08%, reflecting strong bearish sentiment on the hourly chart. Prices continue to trade below key moving averages, indicating sustained selling pressure and a weak short-term trend. The RSI is hovering near the 40 level, suggesting momentum remains on the downside despite a slight recovery attempt. Meanwhile, the MACD remains in negative territory, confirming bearish market structure, although the histogram indicates that selling pressure may be moderating. Immediate support is seen at 145,000, and a break below this level could trigger fresh weakness towards 142,500 and 140,000. On the upside, resistance is placed at 148,500, followed by the psychological 150,000 mark.
