1. Crude oil prices rose more than 2% on Monday after US President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s peace proposal.
2. Brent crude rose $2.60, or 2.49%, to $106.92 per barrel.
3. WTI crude also gained $2.08, or 2.25%, to $94.49 per barrel.
4. The major concern for the market is the Strait of Hormuz, as any disruption could impact global oil shipments.
5. Iran had sent a peace proposal to the US through Qatari mediators, but Trump rejected the proposal. At the same time, he said further talks with Iran could take place during the week.
6. Going forward, crude oil volatility may remain high, with the market closely watching US-Iran talks, the Strait of Hormuz situation and developments related to global oil supply. | 946 |

✅ Copper fell to its lowest in 10 days, as rising oil prices, following the US rejection of Iran's peace deal, and a strong US dollar weighed on the industrial metals complex.
✅ US President Donald Trump rejected an Iranian proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the conflict, keeping concerns over disruptions to oil flows through the key waterway alive.
✅ The US dollar hovered near a two-month high.
✅ In China, industrial profit growth slowed to 4.2% year-on-year in August from 11.2% in July, official data showed on Monday. Profits rose 15.7% in the first eight months, easing from 17.6% in January-July.
