💰 Increased delivery fees Due to the ongoing surge of transaction costs on the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks, we must sadly update our delivery fees accordingly: - Bitcoin: $5 to deliver BTC - Ethereum: $2 to deliver ETH - Ethereum: $5 to deliver other tokens As usual, we will reduce/remove these delivery fees as soon as network conditions will allow. ⚡️ Move your Bitcoin DCA to Lightning We don't know the future obviously, but with the bull market seeming ready to restart it's reasonable to assume that high transaction costs are here to stay for some time. If you have a Bitcoin DCA plan in place, we strongly invite you to move it to Lightning instead of the main Bitcoin blockchain. That way, you will not only avoid to pay this new delivery fee, but you will also minimize the problem of future UTXO costs. In a nutshell, if you decide to move your Bitcoin balance after having made many purchases on your Bitcoin wallet (to cash it out for instance), that output transaction will basically have to take all the previous input transactions and consolidate them, which takes a lot of data. Since the cost of a Bitcoin transaction is based on how much data it consumes, this can result in heavy transfer costs that can even exceed your BTC balance if you have bought small amounts many times ($10 a week, for instance). This issue is explained in more detail here. Buying Bitcoin on the Lightning network doesn't have this problem, and you can of course transfer from time to time what you've accumulated on Lightning to the main Bitcoin network through our swap service. Move your ETH DCA to an L2 network Just like with Bitcoin, if you have a standing order to buy ETH on Ethereum at a regular interval, we recommend to switch to buying ETH on layer-2 networks like Arbitrum or Optimism to avoid delivery fees.
