Please ensure you arrive at the examination premises at least 30 minutes before the start time. A friend of mine missed the IFoS mains paper last time because he thought the entry deadline was 10 minutes before the start. UPSC is extremely strict about this; they will not allow entry even if you are just 30 seconds late.
Therefore, make sure to be inside the examination hall well before the 30-minute mark.

Please note that entry into the Examination Venue shall be closed 30 minutes before the schedule commencement of the
Examination i.e. 09:00 AM for the Forenoon Session and 02:00 PM for the Afternoon Session. No candidate shall be allowed the entry into the Examination Venue after closure of the entry.
Candidates are advised to enter the Examination Venue well in time for frisking.
