🎙️ | Ten Hag: "Life can be very simple, football is very simple, but playing simple football, that is very difficult." [MUTV]

🎙️ | Ten Hag: "We have to show more determination [than Forest], we have to win this game, we know that, but it is an investment." [MUTV]

🎙️ | Ten Hag on Antony: "He will have a good feeling. It is also a good opportunity for him to show that we have coached a lot and trained a lot about runs in behind, and we expect that from all [players] but especially the front line." [MUTV}

Ten Hag: “Rashy is a good striker, he is very multifunctional. He can play all the positions across the front line. We play him there and put Garna back on the left and Antony on the right.” #MUFC

🎙️ | Ten Hag on Rasmus Højlund's illness: "He doesn't have the energy to start or be on the bench. You have to deal with it." [MUTV]

🎙️ | Ten Hag: "We are also very dangerous in transition, but they have good counter players - Elanga, Wood, Gibbs-White, don't forget him. We know that every team in the Premier League has very good players, so every team is a challenge, but it's what we like." [Sky Sports]

🎙️ | Ten Hag: "It's clear, on our best days, we can live with the top three in the league, so now we have to build on the consistency, and, if you want to achieve something, we need to be consistent. That is the big challenge for us." [Sky Sports=

🚨 | BREAKING: #mufc have activated the option to extend Victor Lindelof's contract by one year. [@David_Ornstein]

🎙️ | Ten Hag: “It was not only about the full-backs [being high against Aston Villa]. I think our plan was clear, to get in behind. I think, during the whole game, I think we made it several times and I think we did it very good against them.”

🎙️ | Journalist: "After Aston Villa, you said that in your half-time team talk, you told your full-backs to push higher, to engage higher. How do you make sure your full-backs do this from minute one rather than minute 45? How do you do it consistently?" 🎙️ | Ten Hag: “Ah, but it depends also from game to game, if you talk about tactics. So, where are the spaces? And in which timings have you attacked those spaces? And that depends from game to game. Sometimes you want your full-backs in some parts of the game to be low but they have to know when they have to come high and that is tactics.”

🎙️ | Ten Hag: “I think we are very optimistic. So when the players are returning, then [it's like] we have five or six new signings in January.”

🎙️ | Journalist: "Anthony Martial has been unwell for nearly three weeks now. Is he OK, is it a bad case of illness? 🎙️ | Ten Hag: "He is unwell and not available."

🎙️ | Ten Hag: "For instance, against Aston Villa, you see our style, you see our identity. How quick we can play and also how we can build up from the back... with players coming back, we will be stronger."

🎙️ | Ten Hag: "We have had 10 centre-back partnerships [this season], for instance. But we cannot use that as an excuse, we have to win every game. Sometimes we [have to be] pragmatic."

🎙️ | Ten Hag asked about #mufc's setbacks: "I can't list in the press conference, it will take 45 minutes to list all the injuries we've had. I don't [have the time]."
