30 من مارس آذار يوم الطبيب العالمي تحتفل العديد من البلدان حول العالم باليوم العالمي للطيبيب في 30 مارس من كل عام تقديرًا لجهود الأطباء في شتى أنحاء العالم لما يبذلونه لإنقاذ حياة الكثير من المرضى، وقد تم تحديد هذا اليوم بذاته للاحتفال باليوم العالمي للطبيب إحياءً للذكرى السنوية الأولى للطبيب الأول الذي استخدم مادة الإيثر كمادة مخدرة، وقد تم الاحتفال لأول مرة باليوم العالمي لطبيب حينها في عام 1933م بعد 91 عامًا من اكتشاف الطبيب "لونج" لهذه المادة المخدرة، ويهدف إحياء هذا اليوم بشكل أساسي احتفاءً بالتطورات الطبية التي تجري على أيدي الأطباء الذين قضوا ويقضوا الكثير من الوقت ويبذلون أقصى ما بوسعهم ليتقنوا مهنتهم العالية الفنية والحساسة والإنسانية..!
