🔊Dear students and alumni, 🏫 WIUT’s Global Education Department is looking for: 📝 Position: “Go East” International Summer School Assistants 🧾 Job duties: • Supporting the organization of social events, such as welcome day, farewell parties, and themed cultural activities. • Facilitating Uzbek and culture language sessions or informal language practice opportunities. • Planning and leading cultural activities and excursions to local landmarks, museums, historical sites, and cultural events. • Providing support to international students during meal breaks from Monday to Friday (for two weeks). • Explaining local culture, customs, and traditions while creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants. • Being prepared to handle emergencies and communicate them immediately to the Summer School Coordinator or other Senior WIUT team members. • Performing other minor or incidental tasks related to the position described. 📌 Candidate Requirements: Qualification: - High SAT scores in English and Math. - Strong knowledge of SAT curriculum and strategies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements: • Current WIUT Level 4 and 5 students, or recent graduates (exceptions may be applied). • Availability throughout the duration of the Summer School: August 12-25, and the orientation session for staff members (dates are subject to change). • Strong communication skills: Assistant should be able to effectively communicate with international students, team members, and managers in English, Uzbek and/or Russian languages (basic knowledge of German will be an advantage, but not required). • Professionalism: A professional attitude, including punctuality, reliability, awareness and respect for cultural differences and ability to foster an inclusive environment. • Proactive and self-motivated: An ideal Assistant takes the initiative to seek out tasks and opportunities to contribute and make the Summer School experience memorable without constant supervision. • Adaptability: Assistant should be flexible and able to adapt to new situations, tasks, and challenges. • Attention to detail: Assistant should have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision in their work and communication with summer school participants. • Flexibility: Assistant may occasionally work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. COMPENSATION: • Full-time paid employment. • Weekly meal allowance. • Recommendation letter (subject to performance). • Visits to landmarks and an opportunity for cultural exchange.
