Among the Aayaat and Ahaadeeth that one should memorize are the ones related with Tawheed. They help in strengthening ones Imaan, and helps when talking with the kids and others about Tawheed.
One can start by memorizing the Aayaat related with the Conditions and Pillars of *Laa Ilaaha Ilallaah* that are found in the Book Shaikh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله: "Important Lessons For Every Muslim"
You owe it to yourself!
3 303
If you want your repentance to be fruitful, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness with an attentive heart and a sweet tongue, with the intention that you are repenting from the sin, while also beseeching Him for His Mercy, Favors, and Blessings.
3 303
⚡️ Ponder: What is the purpose of your repentance?
👉 One might say: “I sought Allaah’s forgiveness, but neither did I receive what was promised in the Qur’aan and nor do I think that Allaah forgave me!”
It could be that his repentance was not sincere, and his repenting is in need of repentance. He might have to seek repentance for the way he is repenting!
Seeking forgiveness is not merely by the movement of the tongue. Rather, one should stop sinning, remove the factors that cause him to sin, and leave the path that leads towards sins. This is the condition of sincere repentance.
🌟 For example: one has an inappropriate pic or video in his smartphone. So, the first step towards sincere repentance is that he deletes it, does not go back to it, does not share it with others, and seeks Allaah’s forgiveness and does good deeds.
As Allaah تعالى said:
{But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.}
📚[Surah Taha (20): 82]
Allaah تعالى mentioned the following as a sign of sincere repentance:
1️⃣ Turning to Him in repentance by leaving evil deeds and acts of disobedience.
2️⃣ Believing in Allaah that He alone deserves worship.
3️⃣ And increasing in doing good deeds.
Does Allaah stop it at here?! No, rather, He تعالى adds to it:
4️⃣ And continues in guidance – meaning: he remains constant in doing good deeds till his death.
Remember, and be assured that if Allaah guides you towards seeking forgiveness, then He تعالى will indeed forgive you, repel the harm, remove the hardship, provide you with a way out of difficulties, and provide you with what He has promised.
If you are sick, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness continuously!
If you are in debt, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness continuously!
The One who has made seeking forgiveness and obligation upon you, has also promised that He will remove your hardships.
You want riches, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!
You’re seeking wellbeing (al-`Aafiyah), then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!
You’re depressed and want to get rid of depression, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!
You’re hurt and sadness has engulfed your heart, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!
Your chest feels constricted and you want to get rid of that feeling, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!
You want your children to be righteous, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!
Seek forgiveness, such that your heart follows your tongue, and not by merely moving your tongue only. What is on your tongue should be in your heart as well.
Some people say: Astaghfirullaah! Astaghfirullaah! But their intention is not to seek Allaah’s forgiveness. They heard the Aayah:
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا * يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا * وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا
{And (Nooh عليه السلام) said: “Seek forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers, and give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.}
📚[Surah Nooh (71): 10-12]
🚫 So, one might do Istighfaar so that he gets married. The other does Istighfaar so that he becomes successful, or to get rich, or to pass in the exams.
Indeed, Allaah will provide for the one who seeks forgiveness with all that He has promised, but with a condition, that his intention should be to repent and to seek Allaah’s forgiveness for the sins that he had committed. When one seeks forgiveness for his sins, then as the fruits of his repentance, Allaah تعالى will provide for him all that He has promised in those Aayaat, and with much more.
Don’t seek forgiveness with the intention that you are seeking marriage!
Don’t seek forgiveness with the intention that you want to get rich!
Seek forgiveness for your sins first and Allaah will definitely provide for you with all that.

💠 Importance Of Tranquility, Focus, & Humility In Prayer

♻️ Importance of learning the right way to offer the Salaah
1️⃣ Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
❝Indeed the first deed by which a servant will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection is his Salaah. If it is complete, he is successful and saved, but if it is defective, he has failed and lost. So if something is deficient in his obligatory (prayers) then the Lord عز وجل will say (to the Angels while He knows best): {Look and see whether My slave has any voluntary prayers to make up for what is deficient from his obligatory prayers.} Then the rest of his deeds will be treated like that.❞
📚[Sunan al-Tirmidhee (413) and the wordings are his, Sunan Abu Dawood (864), Sunan al-Nasaa’ee (465. 466. 467), and Sunan Ibn Maajah (1425, 1426) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee.
2️⃣ `Ammaar bin Yasir رضي الله عنهما said: I heard the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ say: ❝ A man returns after saying his prayer while only a tenth part of his prayer, or a ninth part, or an eight part, or a seventh part, or a sixth part, or a fifth part, or a third part, or half of it, is recorded for him.❞
📚 [Sunan Abu Dawood (796) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]
3️⃣ Narrated Zaid bin Wahb: Hudhaifah رضي الله عنه saw a person who was not performing the bowing and prostration perfectly. He said to him: ❝You have not prayed and if you should die you would die on a religion other than that of Muhammad
📚[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (791)]
4️⃣ Zayd bin Wahb reports: We were once sitting in the Masjid with Hudhaifah (ibn Al-Yamaan) رضي الله عنه when a man entered from the gates of Kindah and stood to pray; but he did not complete the bowing or prostration postures. When he had finished praying, Hudhaifah asked him: ❝How long have you been praying in this manner?❞ The man replied: “For forty years.” Hudhaifah said: ❝You have not prayed for forty years! And if you were to die praying in this manner you would die upon a way (fitrah) other than the way of Muhammad

A poem for the people of understanding:
A simple translation, even though all the rhyming is lost:
1. Whoever cannot STAND on (the plains of)
Arafah -- then let him STAND within the boundaries of Allaah تعالى that He has set.
2. Whoever cannot STAY (the night) in Muzdalifah -- then let him be determined to STAY obedient to Allaah to draw near and closer to Him.
3. Whoever cannot SACRIFICE his animal in Minaa -- then let him SACRIFICE his desires here (in this world) so that he reaches with it al-Minaa (the place of greater gathering - the Hereafter).
4. Whoever is not able to reach the HOUSE (the Kabah) because it is far away from him -- then let him seek the Lord of the HOUSE, for He تعالى is closer to him than his jugular vein.

THE DU
AA ON THE DAY OF ARAFAH:
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“The best of supplication is the supplication of the Day of Arafah. And the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahoo laa shareeka lahoo, lahul-Mulku wa lahul-Hamdu, wa Huwa alaa kulli shay’in Qadeer
None has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him belongs the Praise, and He is powerful over all things.
[Sunan al-Tirmidhee (3585) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]3 303
⛔ For many, this would be their last time they will reach the Day of
Arafah.
The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage said: ❝Let my nation learn its rituals (of Hajj from me), for I do not know, perhaps I will not meet them again after this year.❞
📚 [Sunan Ibn Maajah (3023) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee. Also reported in Saheeh Muslim with slightly different wording]
For many, this was the final Ramaḍhaan before they passed away, and many more will pass away before the next one.
There were many with us last year on the day of Arafah, but they are not with us this year, and many more will not be there next year.
🔥 So, treat this Day as your last. Pour out your heart in repentance and seek forgiveness from your Lord, because we don't know if we will make it to next year.
This day is the great day of forgiveness and emancipation from Hellfire, as the Prophet ﷺ said: ❝There is no day on which Allaah sets free more of His servants from Hell than on the Day of `Arafah. He draws near, then praises them to the Angels, saying: {What do these people want?}❞

the blessings which He had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will Allaah say: {What did you do (to requite these blessings)?} He will say: I fought for You until I died as a martyr. Allaah will say: {You have told a lie. You fought so that you might be called a “brave warrior”. And you were called so.} (Then) orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then there will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the Qur'aan. He will be brought, Allaah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will Allaah ask: {What did you do (to requite these blessings)?} He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur'aan, seeking Your pleasure. Allaah will say: {You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called “a scholar”, and you recited the Qur'aan so that it might be said: “He is a Qaaree (reciter)” and and you were called so.} Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom Allaah had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought, Allaah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Allaah will (then) ask: {What have you done (to requite these blessings)?} He will say: I spent money in every cause in which You wished that it should be spent. Allaah will say: {You are lying. You did (so) that it might be said about (you): “He is a generous fellow”, and so it was said.} Then will Allaah pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell.❞ [Ṣaḥeeḥ Muslim]

IBAADAH AND THE ELEPHANT
PART #5: PILGRIMAGE AND SMARTPHONES
Pilgrimage to the House of Allaah is a duty that mankind owes to Allaah; an obligation on those who can afford it. It is the fifth pillar of Islaam. Those who come for Ḥajj and Umrah should perform them completely, perfectly, and sincerely - for the sake of Allaah alone and upon the guidelines of the Prophet ﷺ.
Allaah تعالى said:
{And perform properly the Ḥajj and Umrah for Allaah} [1]
Tafseer Muyassar:
Perform Ḥajj and Umrah completely (and properly), sincerely for the sake of Allaah. [2]
Tafseer al-Sadee:
The words {And perform the Ḥajj and Umrah properly for Allaah} are indicative of a number of things:
ii) That it is obligatory to do Ḥajj and Umrah properly, with all the essential and obligatory parts, as indicated by the actions of the Prophet ﷺ and his words: ❝Learn from me your rituals (of Ḥajj).❞ [Ṣaḥeeḥ Muslim]
iv) That it is obligatory to complete Ḥajj and Umrah once one has started them, even if they are supererogatory (Nafl).
v) The command to do them properly means putting more effort into doing what must be done.
vi) That they should be done sincerely for the sake of Allaah alone. [3]
Allaah تعالى also said:
{And Ḥajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Kabah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allaah, those who can afford the expenses} [4]
But with the advent of cameras and social media, the goals of many people have shifted. It is like almost every other person is carrying a smartphone in his hand, and instead of concentrating on their supplications while doing Tawaaf and Saee, they engage in talking with their families, taking pictures, making videos, and live streaming for their social media accounts, all the while lacking sincerity and with almost little to no concentration in their Ibaadah (worship). They are those who are seeking the Dunya (fame, wealth, publicity, likes, followings, etc.) with the actions of the Hereafter.
These pictures and videos will not solve the problems of the people in this world. What will solve the problems, remove the harm, and bring about good are sincere supplications. These pictures and videos will not help the people on the Day of Judgment. What will help them are the record books that the Angels on the right-hand side are filling. So, if the actions are sincerely for seeking the reward from Allaah alone, then this will benefit the doer. But if is for gaining likes and views on social media, then the purpose is lost. As the Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said that a person who died as a martyr will be thrown into the Fire because he fought only to be called as a brave warrior. The reciter of the Qur’aan will be thrown into the Fire because he recited only to be called as a Qaaree (i.e., someone having a good voice). [5]
Umar Ibn al-Khaṭṭaab narrated that Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ said: ❝The (reward of) deeds depends upon the intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for the sake of Allaah and His Messenger, then his emigration will be considered to be for Allaah and His Messenger, and whoever emigrated for the sake of worldly gain or for a woman to marry, then his emigration will be considered to be for what he emigrated for.❞ [6]
So, these devices in the hands of the people are “elephants” that not only distract the Believers from their Ibaadah but also make them commit Minor Shirk, invalidate their actions, nullify the rewards, and lead them towards Hellfire.

Remembrance of Allaah and Supplications are more than just words we repeat; they serve as a light in the heart, bring tranquility to the soul, and act as a shield during hardships. Make them part of your daily routine, as they are essential for peace of mind, a means of forgiveness, and a path to Allaah’s pleasure.

💠 The importance of Dhikr of Allaah in warding off al-Nifaaq (hypocrisy):
بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
❝Doing a lot of Remembrance of Allaah عز وجل is protection from hypocrisy. The hypocrites do not remember Allaah تعالى except very little. Allaah تعالى mentions this characteristic of the hypocrites:
﴿وَلَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّـهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا﴾
{…and they do not remember Allaah but little}
📚 [Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 142]
Ka`b (Ibn Maalik) رضي الله عنه said: ❝Whoever remembers Allaah عز وجل a lot, will be freed from hypocrisy.❞
No wonder – and Allaah knows best – Allaah تعالى ended Surah al-Munaafiqoon, saying:
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّـهِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ﴾
{O you who Believe! Let not your properties or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allaah. And whosoever does that, then they are the losers.}
📚 [Surah al-Munaafiqoon (63):9]
In this, there is a warning (for the Believers) about the Fitnah of the hypocrites, those who became negligent in the remembrance of Allaah عز وجل and fell into hypocrisy.❞

⚡️ Avoid being among those who do not seek help from Allaah during difficult times, as they neglect to thank Him in moments of ease:
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: ❞مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَجِيبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَ الشَّدَائِدِ وَالْكُرَبِ فَلْيُكْثِرِ الدُّعَاءَ فِي الرَّخَاءِ ❝
Abu Hurairah narrated: Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ said: ❝Whoever would be pleased to have Allaah respond to him during hardship and disaster should make much Du`aa’ in times of ease.❞
