Good news, The Cultural Affairs Committee is organising a joint departure to the annual Beer Floating on Saturday, 25 July! 🤩✨🍻 What is Beer Floating? Beer Floating is an event that takes place every summer where thousands of participants float down the Vantaa River in anything from inflatable dinghies and boats to selt-built rafts whilst getting drunk on beer. 🌊🛶 This year the floating starts where the Kerava River meets the Vantaa River and ends at the Pikkukoski Swimming Beach. It's time to head to Austria and Slovakia this year from September 20th to 26th! (September 20th and 26th are reserved for travel.) Registration opens on June 6th at 12:00 noon. The Excursion is a guild-organized event where we travel abroad to experience local culture, meet fellow students, visit companies, and, of course, have a great time. The organizing committee will ensure that participants have plenty of free time to explore on their own. In addition, thanks to funding from the guild and especially our sponsors, participants do not have to bear the full cost of the trip themselves. After the excursion, each participant's share of the remaining common expenses is expected to be approximately €20–80. A preliminary estimate of the total personal expenses for participants (including flights, food, drinks, and other leisure activities) is approximately €300–600. Simply pull up to Otaranta between 16 and 16:30 with your friends and plenty of team spirit! However, you can add your preferred teammates to your sign-up, which we'll aim to honour when forming the teams. Plus the sign-ups also help us estimate how many participants there will be.
