Lebanese President Joseph Aoun met U.S. Ambassador Michel Issa in Beirut this morning ahead of Aoun's upcoming visit to Washington, made at Trump's invitation. Aoun listed a southern Lebanon ceasefire, pressure on Israel to halt military operations, and adherence to the Washington framework as his top priorities. Issa said an American military delegation will arrive in Beirut within days to coordinate implementation as Israeli forces withdraw from the designated pilot areas.

According to Axios, The White House is bracing for a potentially extended confrontation with Iran centered on the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. officials indicate that the duration of the conflict will depend on Tehran’s next steps.
