All relevant tribe members have been instructed to join the force. The announcement warned that those who do not join at the specified time will face a fine of 1 million rupees and may be expelled from the tribe for violating a collective decision. The announcement comes amid increased attacks against Malik Jameel by Tehreek‑e‑Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants. Local sources report that his two young sons were killed near their home by unidentified gunmen a few days ago, raising tensions in the area.
Separately, the Ahmadzai Wazir tribe has called an important meeting on Sunday to discuss the security situation and rising militant activity.
