ISPR: Security Forces Eliminate Eight Terrorists in Hangu; Two Officers and Four Soldiers killed The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has issued a statement regarding a fire exchange between a Security Forces convoy and terrorists in Hangu District on 20 September 2026. According to ISPR, eight militants were killed due to effective engagement by own troops. During the intense fire exchange, two brave officers who were leading their troops from the front fought gallantly and paid the ultimate sacrifice, embracing shahadat along with their four men. Officers killed:

· Captain Abuzar Farooq (Age: 23 years, resident of District Gujranwala) · Lieutenant Sheraz Babar (Age: 22 years, resident of District Chakwal)

Four soldiers also killed. A sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other militants found in the area. ISPR stated that the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision "Azm e Istehkam," by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country. Authorities in Nushki, Balochistan, have implemented a curfew due to heightened security concerns.

Fatalities were heavily concentrated in a relatively small number of incidents. Of all recorded incidents, 312 (39.8%) resulted in no security-force fatalities, while 328 (41.9%) resulted in exactly one. Only 143 incidents (18.3%) recorded two or more SF KIA, yet these incidents accounted for 67.4% of all security-force fatalities. Saifan Kozi Khel, Karam Garhi, Bannu — Within the limits of Cantonment Police Station, Bannu, two FC officials were taken away by unknown individuals. The officials have been identified as:

#Update Intense shelling is being conducted by security forces in Para Chamkani, Central Kurram. In the Tindori area of Central Kurram, two individuals from the Ali Sherzai tribe were seriously injured when a mortar shell, allegedly fired by security forces, struck their residence. The injured parties have been identified as:

• Zahir, son of Wali Khan • Nasr, son of Gul Bat Khan

Local sources report that militants executed a quadcopter strike in the Khar Sind area of Domel, Bannu. The incident resulted in injuries to a child and an individual associated with the Hathikhel Tribe.

#Update Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP) has claimed responsibility for the ambush on security forces convoy in the Kacha Pakka area of Hangu. According to the statement, five security personnel were killed and seven others were injured. The Militants also seized one kalashnikov rifle, two boxes of G3 Ammunition and one mobile phone before returning back to their hideouts.
