Devora : Flying Head

It’s described as a ravenous spirit resembling a human head with long dark hair, terrifying eyes, and a large mouth filled with razor-sharp fangs. No, it’s not Morbius. It’s much worse than that.

According to the legend, the Flying Head is a cannibalistic spirit that played a role in driving away the original native inhabitants from their hunting grounds in the area of the state of New York near the source of the Hudson River. The location of the tribe's village where the legend took place is considered cursed, as three different hotels built on the site mysteriously burned down. Originating from Iroquois and Wyandot mythology, the Flying Head has an insatiable hunger for anything that’s alive - dogs, cows, humans. Whatever they can get their heads on.
