| 14 | Sometimes I think about how much had to happen just for me to be where I am today.
Me and my family have been through some really hard situations. We had to sacrifice a lot. There were things we could’ve had, things we could’ve done, but education was always something we tried to protect.
Because they believed that one day, all of this would mean something.
And honestly, sometimes I get scared that I won’t become the person I’m trying so hard to be. But then I remember that this dream isn’t only mine anymore. It carries every late night, every sacrifice, every difficult day, every time my family chose my future even when things were not easy.
I want to become the girl they believed I could be.
The girl who walks into a hospital one day wearing a white coat and knows that she didn’t get there alone.
A doctor. That’s the dream. 🤍
So if you’re studying right now and it feels like nothing is changing, please don’t think your effort is useless just because you can’t see the result yet. Life is weird like that. Sometimes you spend years preparing for a moment that lasts only a few seconds.
And please remember the people who make sacrifices for you. Tell them you appreciate them while you still can. We always think we’ll have more time to say it later.
Keep going. Not every day will feel meaningful. Not every chapter will be beautiful. But one day, you might look back and realize that the hardest days were also building the person you wanted to become.
I hope I make it.
