‼️‼️ *UPDATE ON THE 2026 NSMQ CONTEST* ‼️‼️ PRIMETIME is working with stakeholders to commence the Regional contests anytime from now. The delays have affected the period within which the entire exercise would be conducted. PRIMETIME says 'In *order for us to fit everything into the little time available to us, we cannot travel to each region to conduct the competitions, as the travel days and setup time adds another 10 days to the schedule, which we cannot afford, at this point in time'* .* A few centres have, therefore been selected 7 to set up for the Regional Competitions. These are: 1. Cape Coast, to cater for the Central, Western and Western-North regions 2. Kumasi, to take care of Ashanti and the schools in the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East regions 3. Tamale, to cater to Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East and Upper West regions 4. Ho, to cater to Volta and Oti regions 5. And, with the help of our media partner, Multimedia, we will set up in Accra, as a third team, to cater for Greater Accra and Eastern regions while the Ashanti and Volta/Oti competitions are in progress. These arrangements are aimed at cutting down the time needed for the Regionals, so that we can fit both the Regionals and Nationals within a six-week period and so that we minimize the inconveniences of the undue delay in the start of the programme on the participating teams. There will be very little time for the schools to mobilize themselves to travel for the competition, but we plead with you and the schools to please support us have a smooth and quick competition, by travelling to the respective centres. If all go well as planned, the competitions in Cape Coast (with Central Region schools) and in Kumasi (with Ashanti Region schools) will start on Friday, 24th July, 2026. As such, there will be a very short time between our confirmation of our readiness to hold the competition and when the competition will start, so we plead earnestly with you to bear with us and support us to hold a successful competition. PRIMETIME apologises sincerely and profusely for all the inconveniences already caused and for those that this tight schedule will cause. To this end, PRIMETIME is putting arrangements in place to pay the T&T arrears and the T&T for this year’s Regionals ahead of the competition days, to enable the schools to travel to the various competition centres. PRIMETIME will, as usual, provide accommodation and meals for all teams that require it, due to their location from the centres and lunch for all teams that will make a short, day’s trip to the competition centres. They are grateful for our patience and count on our understanding and support. Thank you.

*📌📌📌Additional Notice* To all schools still in the competition, the hour is near, and the Regional Qualifiers will be fast-paced! There will be some modifications to how the production teams move from one region to another. To reduce the number of days required, some schools may be asked to meet the production team halfway. Respectfully, if your contestants have already gone home, kindly call them back as soon as possible, especially those in the Central and Ashanti Regions. The official dates will be communicated after we have formally notified GES and CHASS hopefully by close of business (CoB). Thank you🙏

📌 📌 📌 *Final list of schools that have withdrawn from the Regional Qualifiers* 1. Akatsi SHTS 2. Three Town SHS 3. Twifo Praso SHS 4. Damongo SHS 5. Kesse Basahyia SHS 6. Osei Bonsu SHS 7. Bowiri Community SHTS 8. Bomaa Community SHS 9. Nafana Presby SHS 10. Our Lady of Providence SHS 11. John Evans Atta Mills SHS 12. Odupong SHS As a result of these withdrawals, a few contests will be adjusted slightly; there will be no reballoting.
