Hi all! I'm recently coming back from a really bad art burnout I had for the past few months, but I'm feeling my drawing itch fully coming back finally! I wanted to draw the Duncan and Eddie cast looking a little more mature than I normally show in the comics and also was really in the mood to draw crop tops, so have these sketch pages! Bonus Art Scrapped Comic - Nice 18 Jan 2023

Another scrapped comic! I wrote this comic ages ago (and was actually what started the entire mini-arc), but I decided to scrap it for a few reasons. First, it was a little too similar in format to some other comics and also I decided to spin the comic a little more towards Duncan over Eddie (especially since every arc has been about Eddie basically). Honestly though, after looking at it again, I still kinda like this comic a lot and I think it definitely could've fit into the series.

Bonus Art Scrapped Comics 1 30 Oct 2022

A series of scrapped comic over the past few months! Either I never got around to making them over about a year and the comic ended up sort of outgrowing them(you can tell by some of the older artstyles), or they just wouldn't make sense if I made the comics now. Mason's solo comic was actually going to be the comic meant two weeks ago! But I decided against posting it since it kind of destroys any tension I've built up between them and Kip. I'm still quite fond of a lot of these comics, so I may go back to finish these up in the future, but considering some of these have just been sitting as WIPs for over a year now, I think it's safe to say they're probably going to stay scrapped.

I drew up some doodles of these two for fun earlier! I was trying to think of cute poses to draw Kip and Mason in, since I don't think I'll really get too many opportunities to draw them like this in the comics (especially because the comics are so small!) I promise I'll get around to writing a series about them eventually! Let me know any other kinds of poses or scenarios you'd like to see them drawn in! Secret Projects To Coda Update 1 29 Apr 2023

Hi everyone!! So last week, you guys voted perfectly split between posting sketch pages and posting only finished pages so I figured I'd compromise! For this first update, I'll post the first four pages, but after this, I'll only be posting key art and finished pages! I'm super happy with how To Coda(working name still) is turning out, and I'm genuinely so thrilled to share it with you guys! It's a bit more serious than the comics typically get, so I hope you all enjoy it! I'm currently wrapping up my last few final projects for classes in the coming weeks, so next month will be quiet on the Patreon, but I'll post about my short film next month, so look forward to that! Also, there won't be any extended Q&A this month, since I've started production on To Coda! Thanks for supporting me as always!! <3

Bonus Art More BTS! 18 Oct 2022

Some soft sketches I drew when I was designing the diner Duncan works at and Vicky's apartment! Vicky's apartment is REALLY old, and sort of inaccurate, but it should generally line up if you look at some of the older comics! As for the diner, I'm so sad because I designed this whole interior and exterior(although it doesn't really make sense), and you barely see it in the comics HAHA! I'm definitely gonna return to the diner and the three waiters one day, but that's for later. I also included some character sheets for Duncan and Eddie! I never use these, they're more for other people if I need to provide refs for DnE. Maybe I'll make a proper style guide some day so the comics don't keep changing every other week

Bonus Art Duncan's Room Concepts 26 Sept 2022

A behind the scenes look at my very messy and haphazard process for interiors! Because the comic is so simplistic and episodic, I don't usually put too much thought or effort in designing complete backgrounds, especially since you only see a super tiny portion of it. Most of the time, I'll just use the backgrounds in older comics as reference haha! That being said, I still like having some consistency for recurring locations, even if it largely never gets seen! With Duncan's room, I wanted to have something that was a lot more bright and colorful to contrast Vicky's very dull apartment and an orange-blue color scheme to mirror Duncan and Eddie's own complementary colors! I've also included some key art I drew for Webtoon!

Duncan's Parents Concepts 27 Aug 2022

Some concepts I did for Duncan's parents, Cole and Dorothy for the short Father's Day comic. Originally, I was going to do a whole story arc akin to Eddie's coming out arc surrounding Duncan and his father, but I didn't want to have two back-to-back stories about their families, so that story is currently shelved until I find the right time. I still really love their designs though, so I'll definitely be doing something with them in the future!
