A while ago, hearing people talk about ML models, clusters, features, anonymized IDs, and huge datasets felt intimidating. They would talk about things like a cluster containing different feature sets, where each feature maps to specific columns, and where anonymized unique IDs connect different pieces of user data across thousands of records. Honestly, it sounded like a completely different language. But today, I’m actually building and working with these systems. I recently worked on an ML model where clusters are created from feature sets, with anonymized identifiers linking user data patterns together. And the crazy part? I didn’t use a single AI tool throughout the process. I wanted to challenge myself and prove that I could understand and build it from the ground up. The thing I’ve realized is that most things that seem “too complex” are usually just things we haven’t spent enough time with yet. Complexity is often just unfamiliarity. Give yourself time. Put in the effort. Keep learning. There’s a different kind of happiness that comes from looking at something that once scared you and realizing: “I actually understand this now. I built this.” Keep going. The things that intimidate you today might become the things you create tomorrow.

Finished a 4 hour lock in session, and today I was working on a prototype using synthetic travel data (randomly generated data) to train a model using LightGBM, it consumes and estimates the score of (I can't say what lol) to rank customers, it's basically Tiktok algorithm but for travel. One of the cool models i worked on so far
