RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. MONDAY, 15TH JUNE 2026 THE FLESH HAS BEEN CRUCIFIED And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Galatians 5:24). There exists a common misconception among many that the flesh must continually be “crucified” or subdued through repeated struggle and effort. But the Scripture presents a different reality: the Christian has already crucified the flesh. The Complete Jewish Bible renders our opening scripture beautifully; it says, “Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to death on the stake, along with its passions and desires.” This is not a process but an accomplished reality: your old nature is dead: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The reason many still struggle with the flesh is simple: they attempt to achieve what has already been accomplished, applying effort where understanding is required. The more they strive, the more they become subject to the very thing they’re trying to overcome. That’s not how it works. Live in the Word. Accept what the Word says about you. Even the works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21 are not attributed to demons but to the flesh itself, indicating that the issue is not external but internal. Understand that this doesn’t place the Christian in a position of disadvantage, because the solution is not found in suppression but in substitution: “...walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). The emphasis is not on eliminating the works of the flesh but on living in the Spirit and by the Spirit, walking in the light and reality of God’s Word. As you walk in the Spirit, the life of the Spirit is manifested in you and through you, and the influence of the flesh is displaced. It helps to understand why the Bible says “...Sin shall not have dominion over you...” (Romans 6:14). PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the substitutionary work of Christ that has translated me from death to life, sin to righteousness, and from darkness to light. I walk in the Spirit and live in the reality of my new nature, manifesting the life of righteousness and dominion, today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TEEVO PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY, 15TH JUNE 2026 THE GOSPEL MISSION BEFORE THE LORD’S RETURN  (God’s End-Time Plan) TO THE BIBLE - Matthew 24:14 ‘And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” LET’S TALK The message of Christ’s salvation is God’s answer to the darkness and confusion in the world. It’s our responsibility as young people to make sure everyone hears it before Jesus comes back. The Lord said the Gospel would be preached in all the world for a witness, and then the end would come. This means the timeline of history was so designed that the Church should finish the work. You’re part of the generation chosen to wrap up the ages. Don’t just watch from the sidelines. Participate actively through intercessory prayer, strategic involvement in Gospel initiatives, financial partnership, and bold witnessing. The Spirit of God has equipped you to reach your world. Acts 1:8 declares, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Remember, this mission is urgent, and the Spirit has chosen you to be part of it. The mandate and urgency of the Spirit is clear: God wants all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth that there’s only one God and one mediator between God and mankind, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all humanity (1 Timothy 2:5–6). He’s the answer to every problem, the solution to the pain, misery, decay, and disease in the world. He’s the life-giver. He’s the true God and eternal life: “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life” (1 John 5:20). Even as teens, we can make this real—through our words, our actions, and sharing Jesus with the people around us. GO DEEPER Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. PRAY Dear Father, thank you for committing to me the responsibility of the Gospel. Help me, even as a teenager, to reach my friends, schoolmates, and community with the message of Christ’s love, power, and righteousness. I’m empowered by your Spirit to reach my world with the message of Christ’s love, power, and righteousness. Through us, your grace and truth are made known everywhere and prevail in every nation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. As God’s beloved child, His blessing works in your life everywhere you go. That means no matter where you are or what is happening around you, God’s desire is for you to grow and succeed. He has chosen you to be fruitful at all times. Just like Isaac, who planted seeds during a tough time and received a great harvest, God can bless you even when things look difficult (Genesis 26:12). So, for you to enjoy God’s blessing every day, you must study God’s Word and meditate on it every day. The Bible says that as you do so, you become like a tree planted by the water; always growing and always bearing fruit (Psalm 1:3). This is God’s plan for your life. SCRIPTURE READING Psalm 92:12-14 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. [13] Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. Nothing happens to me by chance. Life is not a mystery to me. Nothing is hidden from me. I have access to mysteries and secrets. I am wise, accurate and excellent. God’s Word is established in my life, and it is evident for the world to see. I live the glorious life of God, who is above all and cannot be brought down by anything. Christ is my wisdom. I’m filled with the fullness of God; loaded with all power, glory, might, and grace! The totality of divinity is fully present in my spirit and uniquely expressed through me! I display the perfections of Christ in sound health and with a life that is sickness-free. I live above the deception, trickery, manipulation and lies of the adversary. I function in absolute victory. All grace—every favour and earthly blessing—come to me in abundance so that I may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need, be self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support, furnished in abundance, for every good work in Jesus’ Name. I live in His authority and that makes me immune to lack and poverty. When I call on that name, all nature responds and heaven stands at attention.
