DeWallet is a non-custodial wallet accessible as a mini-app within Telegram. There are many non-custodial wallets based on TON, but almost none of them can be launched directly in Telegram. The only exception is the TON Space wallet by the creators of @wallet, which can be launched via the messenger interface in the "settings" section. Telegram has officially launched a monetization program for channel owners. Details: - Channel owners can now receive 50% of the revenue from advertisements run in their communities. However, there's some ambiguity in the wording: it's stated that channel admins with 1000+ subscribers can, not will, receive rewards. - Rewards (paid in TON) can be withdrawn without a fee or used to pay for advertising in Telegram, collectible addresses, or Premium subscription giveaways. - The Telegram team highlighted choosing the TON blockchain for its low fees, high transaction speed, and support for a record number of transactions per second. - Channel owners can withdraw their earnings through Fragment. Also, launching a campaign in Telegram Ads used to require a significant budget, but now any user can promote their bot or channel in Telegram with Toncoin and a minimal budget. To start such an ad, one needs to access the Telegram advertising platform. However, this doesn't entirely apply to several countries : TON-based ads aren't shown to users in several countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel. What is Liquid Staking? Since the official channel released a compilation of services for liquid staking on TON, let's break down what it is in very simple terms. What is staking in general? It’s like a bank deposit in the crypto world. You put your cryptocurrency into staking (place a deposit) for a certain annual percentage yield. You don’t have to do anything else: your coins are staked, and you earn income from them. It's similar to having a ruble deposit in Sberbank, but with crypto instead of rubles.🙂 There’s fixed staking, for instance, for 30 days, 180 days, 360 days, etc. Typically, you can't withdraw your coins from fixed staking until the end of the term. There’s also flexible staking, where you can withdraw your coins at any time (but usually, the yield on flexible staking is significantly lower). What is liquid staking? It’s an enhanced version of traditional staking. When you deposit coins (say, 100 TON), you receive other coins in return (for example, 100 stTON). And these stTON coins can be used just like regular TON: you can trade them on exchanges, send them to other users, and even put them in other stakings😂 In essence, liquid staking makes interacting with DeFi more flexible — besides earning a return on the deposited 100 TON, you can also place stTON somewhere else and earn with them too.
