NIFTY:
Nifty witnessed profit booking near its key resistance zone in the previous session, with the 23,400 level continuing to act as an immediate hurdle. The index is expected to open on a positive note, supported by favorable global cues, with the next short-term resistance placed around the 23,500 mark.
BANK NIFTY:
Nifty Bank traded with a positive bias during the first half of the previous session; however, profit booking in the latter half curtailed most of the gains. The short-term trend remains constructive, and a sustained move above 55,600 could trigger fresh buying interest, potentially driving the index towards 56,100.

Nifty 50
Details: ย
- Nifty ended the session on a flat-to-negative note after witnessing heightened volatility throughout the day. The index briefly moved above the 23,300 mark but faced strong resistance near the 8 EMA, placed around 23,300, and was unable to sustain higher levels. As a result, Nifty closed lower by 0.23%.
- Resistance is positioned at 23,400, with immediate support at 23,000.
Bank Nifty
Details:
- Bank Nifty traded with a positive bias during the first half of the session, supported by strength in select private banking stocks. However, profit booking in the latter half of the day erased most of the gains. The index eventually settled around 55,176, ending the session marginally lower by 0.14%.
- Resistance is marked at 56,000 with vital support at 54,500.ย
Midcap and Smallcap
Details:
- Midcap and Smallcap indices opened weak and traded with a negative undertone for most of the session. Despite intermittent recovery attempts, both indices faced resistance near the 14,100 zone and failed to gain momentum. Consequently, the Midcap index closed lower by 0.89%, while the Smallcap index declined 1.33%.
- Key support levels are 13,800 for Nifty Midcap Select and 17,600 for Nifty Smallcap 100.ย

- PCR stands at 0.92 for Nifty and 0.97 for Bank Nifty.
