This is not a development in our Gomez/DV2020 lawsuits but a production from a lawsuit I filed under Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). We have learned that State Department awarded certificates of recognition to KCC employees for their work in September 2020 implementing Judge Mehta’s first order. It’s probably not legally significant, but it is weird. -curtis

Just scored FOIA production from @StateDept. Turns out the @StateDept gave certificates of recognition to KCC employees involved with the "no easy task" of implementing Judge Mehta's Sept. 4, 2020 Gomez order compelling issuance of FY-2020 visas.

Update in #GomezvBiden (#DV2020). Biden administration has filed its opposition to vacating the stay that is stopping the issuance of 9,095 visas.
First page, we see Biden defending Trump's travel bans as good-faith efforts to protect the economy. 🙄
