I'm so tired, ran around 7 hrs in this buffet it was my first day as a server and there were a lot of ppl who didn't leave tips, (my work is refilling drinks, removing trash and dirty plates, which pile up pretty fast in buffets😵)
There's a special category of people who usually never leave tips and I have an impression they are always looking to get irritated by whatever you do so as they justify not leaving tips. The especially smart ones go straight to the buffet without waiting for a server and you don't know where they are...like, did they leave or did the hostess give u a wrong table number? And then they appear at the table with sour faces saying "where is the silverware and bowls for shells?"
thank God it was an evening shift. If they put me for the morning it would be 9 hrs 💀 but many people there work 2 jobs, from 8:00 to 00:00, so I have no right to complain)

Some customers are just like that, they are a joke, like if you wanted Martini and you didn't like this one you can get another one from another bartender with 20 years of experience, but she didn't want that. | 13 | And then when it was late and not busy, servers didn't really need me anymore. Usually whenever it's possible servers want to deliver food themselves to get more tips. So I was standing right at the counter where the chief puts ready food, and the server was near me. She got her food and went to deliver. He asked me where I was. I said I was right there but she wanted to take the food herself. He said: "No no no no, don't give me that, oh my god you always have fucking theories and 1000 words back, just do your fucking job. I don't wanna hear any bullshit" | 180 |
| 14 | Then it was even more stupid. He forgot to put tomatoes in pasta. I told him "but there are supposed to be tomatoes?" He said something like "what are you on about? Are you tripping? Just go run the food for fucks sake, look at the computer, deliver the food, Gosh you're too stupid even to be a food runner"

| 15 | Today this idiot boss/chief yelled me for his own mistakes. He cooked the same thing twice by mistake. When I saw that there was a dish that didn't belong to the table on the display that he named, I knew that if I ask him, he's gonna tell me I'm stupid, so I brought this dish to the only table that had it ordered. It was a table of recurrent customers. 15 min later the chief yells that the order for the whole table is ready and among them there's the same dish. I delivered the rest of the dishes to the rest of the people and obviously didn't deliver the same dish to the guy who had already got his food. Then I started running around with this other dish asking servers who might have ordered that, but no one acknowledged it. Chief's mom started complaining about me. Then the guy who got his food earlier than the others came to the chief and started chatting to him. He was in a good mood but idk what exactly he told him (actually he was someone who you'd call "an old geezer" with a small dog ), but after this talk chief was convicted that I approached this guy with the same dish twice which I obviously never did. I told him I never did that and he yelled : "don't tell me tales, now this recurrent customer is lying?" And a lot of other rubbish..... (Probably someone else approached him) | 164 |
