Alessio is currently studying Neuroscience, Psychology, and Biophysics at The University of Queensland in Australia.
His academic journey began in Biotechnology and Environmental Science before curiosity led him into Philosophy and Classical Letters. After completing multiple degrees, he helped build a startup in Rome developing AI-powered software to streamline nuclear reactor licensing worldwide. Eventually, his fascination with the human mind drew him to Australia, where he now studies social and computational neuroscience, psychology, and biophysics.

Excited to invite you to our upcoming volunteer meeting on Tuesday, 19 May at 17:00.
This session will feature Franklin, a data engineer originally from Nigeria who is currently based in Germany. Franklin works at the intersection of data, systems, and society, with a strong focus on how technology supports communities during times of crisis. He brings a unique perspective shaped by his experience in Ukraine, where he became deeply interested in the role of analytics and tech in strengthening resilience.
Topic of the session: Data Engineering and the Future of Ukraine
Franklin will share his journey from chemistry and philosophy into data engineering, and how questioning systems led him into building them. Expect a thoughtful conversation about technology, human behavior, and how data can support real-world decision making in challenging contexts.

We would love to invite you to prepare presentations and share more about our beautiful country with our international volunteer community, who would be very happy and eager to learn from you! 🇺🇦
This is a great opportunity to:
• practice your English speaking skills
• develop public speaking and presentation skills
• research topics you are passionate about
• represent Ukraine and share its culture, traditions, history, cities, food, music, daily life, or anything else you find interesting
You can create a presentation individually or work together in a group.
The meeting would last around 1 hour and include a Q&A session with volunteers afterwards. We hope to start with one meeting in June.
