🌟 Intrinsic motivation refers to engaging in an activity for its own sake because it is inherently interesting, enjoyable, or fulfilling, rather than for some separable consequence such as a reward or avoidance of punishment. It is driven by internal rewards, such as personal satisfaction, curiosity, and the desire for mastery. ### Meaning 1. Internal Satisfaction: The activity itself provides pleasure and satisfaction, making the task enjoyable. 2. Personal Growth: Driven by the desire to learn, grow, and improve oneself. 3. Self-Determination: The sense of autonomy and control over one's actions and decisions. 4. Curiosity and Interest: Engaging in tasks because they are fascinating or provide a sense of wonder and discovery. ### Examples 1. Learning a New Skill: Someone learns to play the guitar because they find music fascinating and enjoy the challenge of mastering new songs, not because they want to perform in front of others or get paid. 2. Reading for Pleasure: A person reads a novel because they love the story and the act of reading itself, not because they need to complete a book report or earn a grade. 3. Art and Creativity: An artist paints because they find joy in the process of creating and expressing themselves, regardless of whether the painting will be sold or exhibited. 4. Playing Sports: An individual plays basketball with friends because they enjoy the physical activity and the camaraderie, not because they are aiming for a professional career or a scholarship. 5. Solving Puzzles: Someone works on a crossword or jigsaw puzzle because they find it mentally stimulating and satisfying to solve problems, not because there is a prize for completing it. 6. Volunteering: A person volunteers at a local shelter because they find it fulfilling to help others and contribute to their community, not for recognition or rewards. 7. Writing a Journal: Writing in a personal journal to reflect on one's thoughts and feelings because it helps with self-understanding and emotional release, not because anyone else will read it. 8. Gardening: Gardening because of the enjoyment and relaxation it brings, as well as the pleasure of watching plants grow and thrive, not to sell the produce or flowers. Intrinsic motivation is a powerful force that often leads to more sustained engagement and higher levels of satisfaction and performance compared to extrinsic motivation, which relies on external rewards or pressures.

🌸 Does Social Media make people happier or less happy? My definite response would be less happy. I find that there's this trend going around in Social Media where influencers or famous people are trying to make it seem like Social Media is candid and they're showing more real things, more raw things. But I think that even though there's this movement about this, Social Media keeps being very fake, keeps being very Photoshop-centered, keeps not showing everyone's real life with real problems. I think that, all in all, those who use Social Media can tell you definitely that it makes them less happy. Just the mindless scrolling and the fakeness all around it. So I would say, definitely less happy. ( Selena / Albania)

🌸 Hello, my name is Lucia and I am from Namibia. And my question is, what is your dream job? My dream job is a job that allows me to be able to stay at home and be a stay at home mother to my daughter. It's a dream of mine to be able to watch my daughter grow, to experience all her first milestones and to be able to install the qualities and values that I would like to see in her. And I believe that can be achieved by doing a job that allows me to have access to be a stay at home, or to be able to stay at home. Hence, my dream job can include anything that does not require me to step out of my house to do the job. Anything that does not require me to go to an office or workplace, but to work online perhaps or work remotely. ❤️🍎

📖 &🎙️ ☔⛈️🌧️⛱️ A perfect rainy day begins with the gentle patter of raindrops against the window, a soothing symphony that sets the tone for a day of tranquility and introspection. The sky, cloaked in shades of gray, casts a calming hue over the world, inviting a slower pace and a respite from the usual hustle and bustle. As I sip a steaming cup of tea, the warmth spreads through my hands and into my core, contrasting beautifully with the cool, crisp air outside. The rhythmic sound of the rain creates a cozy ambiance, perfect for curling up with a good book. The pages come alive with the sound of rain in the background, each word more vivid as the world outside fades into a serene blur. A perfect rainy day is also a canvas for creativity. The rain's melody inspires a flow of thoughts and ideas, urging me to pick up a pen and journal my reflections. The steady downpour encourages introspection, offering a chance to reconnect with oneself and explore the depths of the mind without distraction. The aroma of freshly baked cookies wafts through the house, mingling with the earthy scent of rain. Baking on a rainy day is a ritual that fills the home with warmth and comfort, the oven's glow a beacon of coziness. The simple act of mixing ingredients and watching them transform into golden treats mirrors the transformative power of the rain itself. Later in the day, I venture outside with an umbrella, drawn to the rain-soaked world. The streets, glistening with puddles, reflect the muted colors of the surroundings, creating a dreamlike landscape. The air feels cleaner, each breath a reminder of nature's rejuvenating touch. Walking in the rain is a meditative experience, the droplets on the umbrella a gentle reminder of the beauty in small, fleeting moments. As evening falls, the rain continues its steady descent, a lullaby that lulls the world into a peaceful slumber. I settle by the window, watching the city lights blur into a mosaic of colors through the raindrops. The perfect rainy day ends as it began, with a sense of calm and contentment, a reminder of the quiet joys that rain can bring.

By managing their own stress effectively, they create a stable environment that helps the team navigate challenges. 4. Empathy and Support: - Example: A leader who values empathy takes the time to listen to team members' concerns and provides support where needed. They might offer flexible working arrangements to accommodate personal circumstances, showing they care about their team's well-being. 5. Being mindful of who we are while leading ensures that leadership is not just about achieving goals but also about doing so in a way that is respectful, ethical, and reflective of one's true self.
