Another thing that should tip you off about that hypothetical message is the sides: Real Madrid and Barcelona are too big to fail; they make too much money legitimately to be entangled in schemes off of which punters can profiteer. Fixed matches are nearly always low-level football games in small countries, like Georgia. Even there, bookmakers will impose hard caps on the amount you can bet, to limit liability. If too many suspicious wagers keep coming in, the bookie will close the market or even void and refund the bets. I hope this clarifies the topic of fixed matches.
