4. Jammu and Kashmir Police is all set to train its old batches for rigorous training for anti-terrorism operations. All probationary officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in the ranks of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs), Sub Inspectors (SIs) and constables after completion of their training in the Police Training Academies and Centres, will, in future, also be trained in counter-terror operations. 5. In a major anti-insurgency operation ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, security personnel gunned down 10 Naxalites, including a woman, in an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district on Tuesday.
