M.S. WILHELM GUSTLOFF
The 30th of January is a German remembrance day, in memory of the victims of the sinking of the refugee ship “Wilhelm Gustloff” 76 years ago.
The sinking was caused by the Soviet submarine S13 on January 30, 1945, and had around 9,400 victims, including more than 5,000 children as well as thousands of women, and wounded. It is the greatest catastrophe in the history of seafaring!
This history remains mostly unacknowledged by historians, and political leaders due to political pressures.
No representative of the Federal Republic of Germany has ever thought of these murdered German refugees from East Prussia.
