Nambia is currently gripped by a heated debate on land reform, like Zimbabwe was in the late 1990s before the chaotic and violent land invasions from 2000 onwards.
The country hopes to reach a negotiated solution on the unfair distribution of land between blacks and whites.
The willing-buyer, willing-seller principle has not delivered. So careful consideration is now being given to expropriation.
Exactly how the expropriation would proceed, stakeholders still don't know.
President Hage Geingob has said there would be no repeat of Zimbabwe's chaotic, violent and disruptive land seizures in Namibia.

At the Vryburger Movement we not only celebrate our existing culture, but also create new cultural customs, one of them being our tradition of "Flower wreath". Having children is strongly encouraged and celebrated in our movement because it is seen as an investment in our future. Strong and large families are the foundation of any healthy nation. New mothers are therefore thanked annually in our movement with a crown of flowers, a symbolic gesture that represents new life.
